This term we are exploring with colours and learning more about animals. We are continuing to build some special relationships and finding friends to share our experiences with us. We are beginning to explore how to use what we play with in different and creative ways.
Personal, Social and Emotional Development
The children are learning how to take turns and share with each other. It is important for the children to learn how to play with a group of friends and how to develop their play ideas together. We will be thinking about how other people have their own ideas and feelings, and how we need to respect that.
Communication and Language
The children are learning lots of new words and becoming more confident in speaking to other people at nursery. There are always opportunities to talk and the experiences on offer are encouraging the children to make connections and talk about things they have seen or done at home.
At nursery the children have had opportunities to explore lots of creative activities such as painting, printing, and playing with playdough. These activities are helping to develop the muscles in their shoulders, arms and hands. They enjoy spending time in the garden taking on physical challanges, for example, climbing to the top of the climbing frame and are being supported to becoming more independent in their self care.
