Year 6 Magistrates

This week, Year 6 had a talk from 2 magistrates. They learnt more about the justice system and how it works. Children were given some scenarios where they has to decide what the crime was, who the victim was and then discuss the consequences. The children were very engaged and came up with some really insightful and mature responses. They then had the chance to be a part of a mock trial. Some children were given the role of a magistrate and had to decide using the evidence presented whether the defendant was innocent or guilty.

We were very impressed with the children's engagement and response to these visitors.
