School Challenge

Reading, Maths and Attendance Challenge!

The children of Castlefield School have been set a challenge. The challenge is for each child to read to an adult every evening, complete their short maths challenge daily and attend school every day!

The children really step up to this challenge, many classes managing to get 100% of pupils reading and doing maths every night. The class with the highest score can display the Challenge Trophy in their classroom for a week.

We hope this initiative will help the children to develop a love of reading, it is clear that the additional practice is having a very positive effect on reading levels throughout the school.
