Year 6 River Drama

To kick of our Geography topic for this half term, Year 6 had a fun afternoon of drama.

We started the afternoon coming up with different actions to represent water and then added the different sounds we associated with water.

The children then had a look at the different stages of the water cycle. Each group had a stage and had to act it out. The other children had fun guessing what was happening at each stage and making sure they used the correct name.

Finally, we looked at the uses of rivers. Each group was given a use of a river. Without telling the other groups, they had to create a freeze frame to represent their use.
